We’re friends who decided to fly from Serbia because of our situation there. We wanted to have a brighter future and see something else, so we decided to come here in Malta.

Since he’s Muslim, part of my family and friends didn’t understand our relationship. You know with everything that’s going on with ISIS many people are prejudiced.
But I never found a man as sweet as him in my whole life so it can’t be anyone but him. »

Tijana on the left added:
« It certainly wasn’t an easy decision, leaving everything and coming here without knowing what to expect.
But I believe that borders do not really exist. We’re making our own borders that’s all there is to it. »

« Sometimes I guess you have to take risks to find it out »
